Uz Jsme Doma
is more than just music. It is poetry, painting, and video art as well. The
Uz Jsme Doma pop-up book is a collaboration between UJD lead Miroslav Wanek
and the painter Martin Velisek who, although he doesn't contribute musically,
is nonetheless an integral part of the band. His signature paintings are
responsible for the unique UJD look, one that is as playful and imaginative
as the music itself.
The pop-up book
is available at select bookstores and UJD concerts.
Uz
Jsme Doma has written soundtracks for film and television, including Aurel
Klimt's animated short "The Magic Bell" and a Czech Television documentary
about their resident artist, Martin Velisek. You can download the opening
sequence from the Velisek documentary here. The complete soundtrack is available
as part of the Uz Jsme Doma pop-up book.
